ValueMatch was established in 2011 and offers its services worldwide. It came into being as a result of the lack of reliable assessment instruments based on the work of Graves and Spiral Dynamics which could be deployed by development-oriented organizations. The core of this approach is that it takes the development of personal values as the starting principle when searching for the most suitable work environment. This is a dynamic process, meaning that work that was once inspiring may at some point become tedious. Understanding the way values develop is key to this process of exploration.

In addition, we recognize that the dominant values of an organizational culture are not necessarily the sum of the values of its employees. As a result, we regularly see that the mismatch between human and organizational culture acts as a source underlying many tensions, conflicts and inefficiencies in business operations. That’s why in addition to the personal assessments, ValueMatch has also developed instruments which map the organizational culture. Research from Graves shows that the proper connection between the employee's values and the values of the work environment is essential to reach a well-functioning organization.

ValueMatch consists of a team of specialists who have extensive experience in organizational advice, coaching, the practical application of Spiral Dynamics and the teaching of Spiral Dynamics Integral in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and online around the world. We have been certified by Don Beck for issuing SDI level 1, 2 and 3 certificates.

In addition, we work with a network of experienced professionals, many of whom have many years’ experience with Spiral Dynamics. This gives us the unique ability to rapidly validate newly developed instruments in practice and use practical feedback to continually improve and enhance our services.

Although our assessment reports give you an extensive explanation, a coaching conversation will give even more depth. Furthermore, you can discuss the outcome of the assessment in relation to a personal development question, a problem you have encountered or an area you want to further develop. After completing the questionnaire, you will receive a full report within one working day explaining the Spiral Dynamics analysis method and a personal interpretation of your answers. Afterwards, we will make an appointment for an online coaching conversation lasting an hour in which an experienced Spiral Dynamics specialist and coach will guide you and deepen your insights.

The reasons for this might be:

  • Choices that have to be made regarding a new function or challenges;
  • Interpreting a mismatch you experience with your work or personal surroundings, team or colleagues;
  • A self-employed entrepreneur who is looking for customers or collaborators who are most compatible to him or her;

  • Looking for ways in which you can work more effectively.

The report gives you insight into your deepest values, which living and working environment suits you best, what the potential pitfalls are and which living and working environments are not right for you.

diensten onderzoekFor organizations who want to gain insight into the dynamics between employees and organizations, but who do not possess the knowledge and experience with the ValueMatch instruments, we provide personal value assessments, team assessments or a complete organizational culture research. These include providing insight into the dynamics between human and organizational culture, the change that employees want, the change potential of the employees and which of the 27 measuring points has priority.

Based on your wishes we create a customized program. Those wishes may include:

  • Gain insight into how employees experience the current culture and how they would like it to be;
  • Intervention strategies to achieve the desired culture;
  • Revealing the cultural differences between organizational units and with this the existing tensions between them;
  • Seeing how personal values relate to those of the team;
  • Be able to assess where the structure and culture in an organization reinforce each other and counteract each other;
  • Comparing the cultures with the personal drives of employees, whether these match or cause tension;
  • Ditto for the team drives, and the extent to which these clash with the organization culture
  • Derive whether an organization/team/individual is able to cope with what is asked of them; gain insight into the source of conflict situations

You can choose for an online analysis, but we can also provide workshops and advice on site. Our own advisers are happy to do this but they cannot be everywhere at once, so we can also put you in contact with one of our certified practitioners in one of the countries where ValueMatch is active.
