Job matching

Hire for Values. Train for Skills.

Does the person fit the job?

ValueMatch offers a precise, values-based approach to fit a person with the profile of a job. The core of this work is the art of aligning the organization’s employees, culture, and structure so that they match one another and the complexity of the task.

Creates a Values Profile for the Function

ValueMatch creates a specific values profile for a job (function) which indicates the specific nature and required characteristics of the role. This profile identifies the values systems that are associated with the competencies that will be called upon the most to carry out the job’s main activities and responsibilities. For instance, a function might require a high Green score (to bring stakeholders to cooperate) and a high Yellow score (to integrate all policy aspects).

Compares Personal Values Profile with the Job Profile

Our practitioners are trained to compare the individual’s Values Assessment with the established Job Profile to determine if there is a match between the employee’s personal values and the role’s requirements. This matching process helps select the right person for a vacancy and helps employees find the best jobs or develop the required competencies.

Identifies Potential Mismatch and Risk

The analysis reveals if a candidate lacks key values for the job’s complexity or strongly rejects values the role requires. For instance, a political negotiator who rejects Red (assertiveness) and scores low on Blue (structure and commitment) is flagged as a poor fit—helping prevent costly mismatches.

A conversation is required

Our instruments can assist in matching people with a job, but as this is a precarious process, this needs professional guidance.

Addresses Complexity and Alignment

The process ensures that the complexity of each person’s task must match the complexity that person can handle. The goal is a healthy match where employees have the space to constructively contribute to the organization’s goal from their natural drives.

Serves as a Valuable Addition to Recruitment

Job values profiling is a valuable addition to the recruitment and selection process, as it helps prevent “misery and costs” that arise from choosing the wrong person for the role. Multiple organizations have incorporated this methodology into their recruitment and selection process.
