This case study examines how a financial services provider evolved from an owner-dependent, hierarchical structure into an autonomous, leadership team-driven organization over a significant growth period from 2019 until summer 2024.
Through the deliberate application of the Spiral Dynamics framework, the organization addressed key challenges—ranging from leadership transitions and departmental restructuring to the integration of a digitalization strategy. Central to the transformation was the cultivation of a self-sustaining, self-leadership-driven culture where distributed leadership and agile processes replaced traditional leadership approaches.
